Vilius Franckevicius
Decarboxylative Catalytic Construction of Quaternary Carbon Centres
Vilius Franckevičius was born in Lithuania in 1983. Since 2013, he has been a lecturer at the Department of Chemistry at Lancaster University, UK, and has research interests in new synthetic method development and enantioselective catalysis. Prior to this, Vilius completed his PhD under the supervision of Prof. Steven Ley at the University of Cambridge, UK. This was followed by a postdoctoral position in the group of Prof Dirk Trauner at Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich, Germany, and a Research and Teaching Fellowship with Professor Richard Taylor at the University of York, UK.
