Title: SMALL RINGS IN ACTION: ORGANIC SYNTHESIS WITH ACTIVATED CYCLOPROPANES

Dzmitry Kananovich was graduated from the Belarusian State University (Minsk, Belarus) in 2004. He completed his doctorate in organic chemistry in 2008 under the guidance of Prof. Oleg Kulinkovich. After obtaining his PhD, he continued his work as a research fellow at the Laboratory of Organoelement Synthesis at the same university. In 2011, he moved to Tallinn University of Technology (Tallinn, Estonia) for a postdoctoral stay. In 2015, he joined Chair of Green Chemistry at Tallinn University of Technology as a senior researcher and started his independent carrier. His research interests are currently focused on organometallic chemistry and transition metal catalysis, synthesis and transformations of strained carbo- and heterocyclic compounds, as well as on development of green and sustainable methodologies in organic synthesis.
