Riga is accessible by plane directly from the most major European cities (Paris, Amsterdam, London, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Munich etc.). The airport is located just outside the centre of Riga.

Riga city centre can be reached using SIA "Baltic Taxi"(Yellow cabs) and AS "RÄ«gas Taksometru parks" (Red Cab) cabs. Journey time to the centre of Riga city is approximately 15-20 minutes. Average cost per trip by taxi: 12 - 15 EUR. Credit cards or debit cards are accepted.

The cheapest option to get to downtown is to take the city Bus 22. To get on the bus at the airport look for bus stop located opposite the terminal behind the car park P1. Frequency 10 - 30 minutes, journey time to the city centre is about 30 minutes. A regular ticket for one trip can be bought from the bus driver 2.00 EUR. Cheaper tickets (1.15 EUR) can be bought at the airport arrival hall at the tourism information bureau "Welcome to Riga" or in a ticket vending machine at the stop of Bus 22 or in Narvesen press kiosks at Level 1 and 2 of the terminal.

Passport and Visas

All foreign visitors entering Latvia must have a valid passport. For some countries, a visa is necessary.
